Tal Chhapar is one of the best kept secrets among wildlife photographers in India. It is home to India’s fastest mammal – Blackbuck and so are the Grassland birds abound here. Laggar and Red-necked Falcons – the stars among the avians here as they dazzle us with their breakneck flying speeds. This sanctuary known as raptor’s country offers as many as 42 species of birds of prey – Eagles, Buzzards, Falcons, Vultures, Harriers and Hawks – having been recorded here especially in winter months. 

Late December onwards - many migrating birds arrive here from their breeding homes in Central Asia and Europe. Including Demoiselle Cranes and Bar-headed Geese after having flown high over the Himalayas. A day trip to Jorbeer Conservation sanctuary as it is one of the best places to look at Raptors birds like the Steppe Eagles, Griffon Vultures, and Egyptian Vultures along with many migratory Birds of prey that visit Jorbeer.
