GUIDED PHOTO-EXPERIENCE TO SCOTLAND OF EAST
Experience! Reliability! Expertise!
Meghalaya, the abode of clouds, is one of the most beautiful states in the North-East India offering a variety of sights, activities, food and festivals to the tourists. We’ll be in tribal territory, the land of the Khasi people. As the road climbs into pine-covered hills dotted with pretty lakes, the Europeans' nickname for the area, the Scotland of the East, will start making sense.
The experience starts at Shillong - the city gateway to Meghalaya, famous for heavy rainfalls, caving, tallest waterfalls, beautiful landscapes and amazing people and culture.
Our next destination is Dawki - small International border town. A splendid destination for photographers. Passing through deep gorges and ravines, the cool, moist air brushes over your face refreshes and revitalizes you on your way to Dawki. The major attraction here is the Umngot River that marks the natural connection between India & Bangladesh - this large emerald-green serpent threading its way through the hills, with fishermen’s boats dotting its surface is a sight whose majesty echoes long after you leave it.
Our Photography trip takes you to one of the wettest place on the Earth - Cherapunji with its clean and pristine surroundings is an excellent place for untouched beauty. Also planned are shoot sessions at various hidden waterfalls tucked in between evergreen rainforest and flowing with all their majesty and might, with many of the falls plunging into mind goggling blue lagoons.
We also photo-experience the magnificent and beautiful Single Decker Living Root Bridge unique in the sense that they are thick roots, which are intermingled to form a bridge that can hold several people at a time – a sight to behold.
